CNC TURNING
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Metal turning is one of Gerritsen van Groningen's activities, whereby the metal is turned on a lathe and makes a cutting movement. In this way all kinds of round shapes can be created, such as cylindrical and conical shafts. Our machining department has both conventional and CNC-controlled lathes at its disposal.
SPECIFICATIONS
Our well-equipped machinery and skilled staff enable us to manufacture workpieces from small to large, ranging from 5 mm to 500 mm in diameter.
CNC MILLING
Gerritsen van Groningen specialises in milling aluminium, stainless steel and other metal products. We have the most innovative 3-axis milling machines that remove material evenly with a rotating milling cutter. With 3-axis milling, the machine tool is only capable of processing products from above. By pre-programming the products on the computer, we can work very efficiently and can work with very low tolerances to deliver a perfect semi-finished product.
SPECIFICATIONS
Our CNC milling machine is suitable for milling up to a size of 1100 x 500 mm. Besides milling various kinds of metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminium), you can also contact us for milling plastics.
